As a teacher myself, I know how tough it can be to push through when your energy is low, your to-do list is high, and your students are buzzing with spring fever. But practicing a little self-care can make a big difference in preventing burnout and helping you feel more balanced, relaxed, and ready to tackle the day.
That’s why I’ve put together this list of 5 must-have products and teacher self care ideas. Whether you're looking for ways to unwind after a long day or recharge your energy for the weeks ahead, these teacher appreciation essentials will make your life easier and more enjoyable.
1. Aromatherapy Diffuser with Essential Oils
One of my favorite ways to bring a sense of calm to my space is with an aromatherapy diffuser. I love having one in my classroom because it makes such a difference in the atmosphere.
An essential oil diffuser with refreshing spring scents like lavender, citrus, and eucalyptus can help you unwind after a long day or even create a more peaceful classroom environment. Trust me, your students will love the calming vibes too! It’s a simple way to prioritize your well-being and practice self care in the classroom.
2. Inspirational Water Bottle (Owala + Water bottle Sticker)
Girl, get yourself an Owala! Staying hydrated is one of those self-care basics that we tend to forget when the days get busy. That’s why a good water bottle is a must! The Owala bottle is hands down one of my favorites because it’s leak-proof and easy to drink from. Add in a cute water bottle sticker with a quote or something cute to make it personal!
A water bottle with a motivational quote is such a simple and practical take care of yourself as a teacher. Sip, breathe, and stay refreshed—you deserve it!
Teacher Tip 👉 The water bottle stickers also work great as little prizes for your students!
3. Portable Blender for Smoothies
If you’re anything like me, mornings can feel like a race - especially for all the teacher moms our there. Having a portable blender means I can whip up a quick, healthy smoothie before running out the door. It’s also great for an afternoon pick-me-up when you’re feeling that mid-day slump.
Whether you’re blending a protein shake, a green smoothie, or a fruity treat, a portable blender makes healthy eating so much more manageable. Teachers need fuel, and this is a game-changer for busy days when meal prep just isn’t happening.
Teacher Tips 👇
Prep Your Ingredients in Advance: Spend a few minutes on Sunday portioning out your smoothie ingredients into individual bags. Include fruits, veggies, protein powder, and any add-ins like chia seeds or spinach. Store them in the fridge if you have one in your classroom, or freeze them for later use.
If you’re lucky enough to have a small fridge at work, you can store your prepped smoothie bags right there. This way, you’re ready to blend whenever you need a quick pick-me-up.
Freeze and Thaw Method: Don’t have a fridge at work? No problem! Freeze your smoothie bags at home and bring one with you in the morning. By the time lunch rolls around, the ingredients will be perfectly thawed and ready to blend.
4. Pilot Frixion Erasable Pens (Colorful Pack)
Okay, don’t write this one off (pun intended). These pens are actually amazing. If you’ve been teaching for any amount of time, you know that a good pen can make your day and I’m absolutely obsessed with Pilot Frixion erasable pens! They write so smoothly, come in vibrant colors, and the best part? You can erase them! Whether I’m writing notes, grading papers, or journaling, these pens are my go-to.
They’re especially great when my ideas change a million times during planning—erase and keep going without the mess of crossing things out. Plus, my students always comment on how fun the colors are. Total win!

5. Self-Massage Tool (like a Neck and Shoulder Relaxer)
I got one of these as a gift and thought it was so silly! I honestly didn’t think I would ever use it, and now it is one of my all time favorite ways to practice self-care. They are SO WORTH IT. Teaching can be physically demanding—standing all day, hunching over desks, and carrying way too many things at once. A self-massage tool for neck and shoulder tension can be life-changing. After a long day, I love using mine to release tight muscles and just decompress.
It’s quick, easy to use, and doesn’t take up much space. Plus, it’s a small investment in your well-being that makes a big difference. Treat yourself—you’ve earned it!
Final Thoughts…
Self-care isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity. Taking a little time to care for your mind and body can make a huge difference in how you feel both in and out of the classroom.
